My name is Michael Saum and I live in western Michigan. I’m 64 years old (as of June 2012) and have been blessed with a long and very lucrative career in the merchant services business (credit card processig). I thoroughly enjoyed my days building relationships with my merchants and helping them to fully understand how to truly benefit from my service and minimize their costs.
However, in the spring of 2005, I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma neck cancer, stage 4. The doctors gave me six to eighteen months to live but, after six weeks of treatment, in February of 2006, I was pronounced as CANCER FREE….PRAISE GOD! The resulting radiation left me with greatly reduced vocal strength and endurance therefore making it impossible to continue in the field on a daily basis.
Since then, I have been primarily consumed with continuing to assist my vast client base and working with numerous referrals that continue to come in. But, I felt God was keeping me around for a myriad of reasons, one of which being, to reach out and be of as much help as possible to hard working business owners all over this great country of ours.
So, I started a blog on the topic of credit card processing and began writing articles relative to the subject which were picked up by numerous websites, for content, all over the internet. But then, I felt led to pull it all together into an educational resource, if you will, so I put it in the form of a 41 page comprehensive eBook and sold it thru my website. I discovered, with follow-ups from many who purchased, that the information presented seemed “overwhelming” at times. That’s when I came up with the idea to tear it apart into easily digestible “lessons” if you will and offer it via email which is precisely what you find offered on this site.
